Lessons take place lying on the floor in different positions sometimes also in sitting or standing. The teacher guides you verbally through a sequence of gentle movements which relate to everyday activities like turning, bending, reaching, sitting, walking etc. Exploring where the suggested movements feel easy and comfortable or where we maybe work too hard, use too much effort or compromise our breathing, will help us to develop a clearer sense of how we move, think and feel, enabling us to adjust to new, more comfortable and more efficient ways of moving.
The discoveries made during the lesson on the floor, will influence the way we move in an upright position and then later in our daily life.
People often feel calmer after a lesson, more comfortable in their movements and themselves and breath more easily and fully.
